Telepo nominated for GSM Association Award for Best Mobile Enterprise Product
Stockholm January 9, 2007 - Telepo, a fast-growing Swedish software company, has been short listed for a GSM Association 2007 Award in the category of Best Mobile Enterprise Product or Service. Telepo is the only Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) vendor among all of the nominated companies. The winner will be announced at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona (February 12-15, 2007).
Telepo is pioneering innovation in the international Fixed-Mobile Convergence market. Its award-winning software solution converges business communication on desktop, fixed and mobile phones to enable mobility, efficient multimedia and real-time communication for enterprises and service providers.
"It is an honour that Telepo has been recognised by the GSM Association for our innovative business communication solutions. Our approach of enabling unified communication anytime, anywhere - in any network and device - has been very successful", said Lars-Michaël Paqvalén, CEO of Telepo.
Telepo's solution has been specifically developed with ease-of-use as its key feature, for both the individual and IT manager. Central to its design is an intuitive user interface and single identity, which enables a consistent look and feel across device. Telepo's solutions require no change in user behaviour and are built on SIP, thereby enabling the flexibility to either use any legacy systems integrated with the Telepo solution, or implement a pure Telepo IP-based solution.
Furthermore, Telepo's per-user software license model reduces the investment burden, enabling a flexible and cost-effective scalability for enterprises. In addition, Telepo's solutions can be centrally managed and with advanced call features, such as transparent mobile least-cost routing, it delivers its customers a payback on investment of six to nine months.
Rob Conway, GSM Association CEO, said: "After twelve years, the standard and support for these Awards continues to rise, once again exceeding our expectations and reflecting the ability of the mobile and entertainment industries to not only impress but to genuinely surprise. The nominated entrants have survived the scrutiny of some of the industry's most discerning experts and truly earned their place in this year's exceptionally strong field of compelling products, initiatives and solutions."
The GSM Association is the global trade association representing more than 700 GSM mobile phone operators across 215 countries of the world. In addition, more than 180 manufacturers and suppliers support the Association's initiatives as key partners. The Association's members serve more than 2 billion customers - over 82% of the world's mobile phone users.
